Obama Appoints Chief of Goldman-Sachs Ambassador to Canada

Bruce Heyman, a partner at Goldman Sachs and chief of the firm's Private Wealth Management practice, has just been appointed the new United States ambassador to Canada by Barack Obama.

-Critics have noted that Heyman has no prior diplomatic experience, does not have a university degree in international relations, and in 2008 reportedly identified Toronto as the capital of Canada during a GS shareholders teleconference.

-However, in his favor, he is reportedly fluent in English. Also, last winter he flew his private jet to Australia for a holiday and Australians are basically just Canadians with suntans.
