Conquer Club

Like a good Marvel-holic, I watched last night. I was fairly disappointed. With the exception of Agent Paulson, the characters were tropes (the bad-ass male agent with a heart of gold, the rebel computer hacker woman with a heart of gold, the geeky science types with British accents, the Asian reluctant bad ass). If I wasn't a Marvel-phile, I would probably stop watching, but I will continue to support the brand with the hopes that the season will improve the show.

Anyone else watch? Any thoughts?

I am willing to put up with a lot when it comes to my comic characters, so I am going to stick through it. Plus Paulson is one of my favorite characters Marvel Entertainment has ever put on screen so it should at least keep me entertained with him there.

I missed it. There was a WNBA game on.

Live action superhero never really interests me too much. I like animated superhero stuff better I think.

...didn't get to see either, the cable crapped out last night.

Watched the first half before the son had to go to bed. Will watch the 2nd half tomorrow. Yep, typical stereotype characters with pretty faces. I hope this doesn't end up like "Enterprise" with formula scripts. I'm hoping for good plot development.

I have faith in the writers and in the character of Agent Paulson (and I'm a Marvel freak). So I'm optimistic.

Because when you want realism, you go for the superhero comics.

It was alright, I liked the action scenes.

Well there's realism and there's tropes.

I missed it the first night, but caught some last night and it looked pretty good. Now I want one of those old flying Corvettes.

I do like the Iron Man movies.

I'm hoping it's successful. If Agents of Shield does well, perhaps we'll see a new Star Trek series.

They are going to do a Gotham series (Fox) - or so I read yesterday.
