Boer War Anniversary Upcoming

On October 30th, 1899, Canada entered its first official war. This is my favorite human conflict for many reasons:
-Concentration camps with starvation policies check
-A bunch of British `soldiers`wearing improper uniforms check
-blatant racism check
-bunch of europeans fighting over foreign land check
-scorched earth policy check
-guerilla combat check
-scads zounds of medals check

However, while there have been millions of films about wars that barely had any significance (World War II, for example) there haven`t been any good films about the Boer war. To overturn this conspiracy, I am going to spend the next few weeks educating everyone here about why the Boer War is what we should focus on. Instead of Remembrance Day, VE Day and D-day celebrations, we should have Declaration Day. I would also suggest a East Prussia Sux Day, but I am still trying to come up with a way to market that better.

My great grandfather may have fought in that one. I'm pretty ignorant about the whole thing. Can't find records either. WW I are sketchy but online, at least we found some of our relatives records.
