Wind Turbines in Canada

Yea, I realize more than just an issue of right-wing NIMBYism. But when I have articles like this:
http://www.ottawacitizen.com/technology/Wind+farms+creating+dead+zones+military+radar+report+warns/9157251/story.html in the paper, it makes me cringe.

Here is NavCanada's official position on wind turbines:
...

Great. A bunch of knuckleheaded army-types see a problem and say: quick, ban wind turbines since they effect military training and readiness so we will be totally defenseless. The NavCan approach is simply to install this crazy new technology.

I am now entirely in favor of mandatory wind turbines in every rural region where non-farmers live. Unless your rural region is 100% farmers, you get a wind turbine. Instead of powering the grid, this power will go to generally making your life miserable instead.

These people move to the country, and I can not imagine a more selfish decision.

Wind turbines require a steady high speed wind to be efficient.

Better to decrease energy use across the board, use the environment to the best advantages and concentrate large scale projects to urban areas.

There are already numerous radar dead zones because of high-rise apartments and such. Maybe the first step on the road to public safety is to kill everyone who lives above ground.

Canada should have more turbines, so it can fly away and relocate should it ever want to.

When Global Warming occurs and the ice caps melt, then Canada will be exposed to the ruthless Soviet Empire; therefore, Canada should (a) invest heavily in wind turbines, so it can move to a warmer climate for the Winter, or (b) militarily prepare by buying some GPS devices.
