-CIA - Kennedy had fired long-time CIA director John Dulles
-Cuban Exiles - Kennedy had refused to provide air support to the Bay of Pigs invasion
-Cuban Government - Kennedy had ordered the Bay of Pigs invasion
-Federal Reserve - Kennedy had signed a decree ordering the printing of silver certificates
-Israel - Kennedy had sent a letter to Prime Minister Eshkol demanding access to the Dimona nuclear site by the end of next month
-Joint Chiefs of Staff - Gen. LeMay, Gen. Taylor, and Adm. Anderson thought he was incompetent over handling of Cuban Missile Crisis
-Lyndon Johnson - a LIFE article out a week before Kennedy died broke news of Johnson's questionable financial affairs; rumors were swirling he was going to be replaced as Vice-President
-Southern Nationalists - Kennedy had used the Army to desegregate Alabama schools
-Lee Harvey Oswald - lone anti-capitalist activist recently returned from USSR, acting without support

I'd place bets on NASA. If you recall, Kennedy provided insufficient funding for the Apollo Moon Program; therefore, NASA had to film the whole thing. That little charade worked for a few decades and was well-contained by thousands of NASA employees and subcontractors from Hollywood; however, the Head Chiefs of NASA were none too happy about this affair, so clearly they had an incentive to take their vengeance. And, vengeance they did taketh.

It seems as if a bullet went through Kennedy's head, but if you slow down the video, you will actually see that it was a new prototype of a miniaturized spacecraft which unsurprisingly was designed by Carnegie, built by Northrup Grumman, and financed by the Free Masons--not to be confused by the Garden Variety Masons.

Dont know enough to speak upon this subject. My gut tells me Oswald is a fall guy. If im not mistaken Kennedy wanted to audit/end the Fed. That could piss off Central Bankers. He also wanted to pull out of the war. L.b Johnson was more than happy to dive in deeper. Like I said I just dont know enough specifics to speak sensible. Not like I speak any sense. OH yeah there was a CIA "Propaganda Notes" on Kennedy's assassination.

Really sad of what could of been. Kept the Joint Chiefs from going into Cuba and probably kept the eastern seaboard from still glowing from nuclear fallout. Might of got us out of Vietnam earlier. Started the Peace Corp. Yeah he made mistakes along the way but it seemed he wanted good in the world.

This is correct. I saw a documentary once where the real Elvis had switched with an impersonator because he tired of the fame, and so Elvis and Kennedy are still alive in a rest home in Texas, fighting a soul-sucking mummy. The gov't had dyed Kennedy's body, though, so he's black now.

I still find it amazing how stupid those the Joint Chiefs were. They knew that their actions would very likely lead to a nuclear war that would destroy the world, yet... they somehow kept insisting on bombing and/or invading Cuba. Fortunately, Kennedy constrained them, and this particular case reveals how inept the USG's war bureaucracy is in maintaining peace.

Over time, I wonder if it's the case that the president and the Joint Chiefs have become more similar, in that their range of disagreement has contracted while their range of agreement has expanded.

I just find it harder to believe that current levels of military spending by the US really keeps the world safer--assuming that the Joint Chiefs still act like such fools (I don't see much of a corrective mechanism that constrains such foolishness either).

The CIA definitely planned and executed the attack. The question is, who ordered it?

LBJ knew about it and was involved, but him freaking out suggests that it wasn't on his orders. So, who controls the CIA? Who can get the secret service to back off of Kennedy at the crucial moment, change the route so that he was trapped in a triangulated slow moving location, and prevent police and secret service from being present at the site of the assassination. Who could access his body to destroy the evidence?

It was the shadow government, a grand conspiracy which the Kennedys were a part of. But when he realized that they were intent on causing a nuclear war, he attacked them. He moved against the Fed, he prevented war, he took on their intelligence network. And they killed him, and his brother.

As in fully developed totalitarian systems the power of the secret police is in good measure the reflection of the political power of its head, a Himmler or a Beria, so does the power of the Bureau of Security over the Department of State reflect in good measure the political power of those whose political philosophy its leading officials represent, to whom they owe their present positions and their primary loyalties as well. These are not the President of the United States or the Secretary of State but certain members of Congress and, more particularly, of the Senate. The police system which has been established in the Department of State is their secret police in a more profound sense than it is the secret police of the executive branch. It is through it that these members of Congress are kept informed about the – presumably secret – operations of the Department of State, and it is through it that they exert a direct or indirect influence upon its operations. To an extent which changes with the ebbs and tides of political fortune, it is these members of Congress, and not the President or the Secretary of State, who determine the operations of the Department of State and its affiliated agencies.

He's talking in here about SY (the Bureau of Security), a State Department unit which is 50 years older than the CIA. In 1963 it had been led for 20 years by Otto Otepka. Kennedy and Dean Rusk found that Otepka would simply not follow their directions, that the entire SY was either operating independently or answering to an outside authority. Kennedy fired Otepka six months before the assassination.

Hmmm ... I think the takeaway is the Senate Foreign Relations Committee ordered Kennedy's death. According to Morgentheau 8 years before the assassination, the Committee controlled SY which, at the time, issued all security clearances for the USG (now the FBI does). The Committee occupies the role of Machtstaat ("power state" - the safety valve that springs into action if democracy fails and the constitution offers no corrective mechanism) and exercises its penultimate power through SY.

Kennedy had made a number of appointments of persons with suspected Marxist backgrounds; but, there was no danger because SY (which, according to Morgentheau, extra-legally reported to the Committee) blocked their security clearances. Kennedy removed the head of SY and put in a pliant administrator. At that point the only recourse the Committee had was to remove Kennedy.

Sen. Fulbright (D-Arkansas) - called by Bill Clinton his "mentor"
Sen. Humphrey (D-Minnesota) - became Vice-President to Johnson after Johnson ascended to the presidency
Sen. Kuchel (R-California) - Obama's CIA director Leon Panetta started his career as Kuchel's aide
Sen. Aiken (R- Vermont) - here's a quixotic phone call from 3 weeks after the assassination in which President Johnson calls the elderly Aiken in Vermont regarding independence day celebrations in Zanzibar - who sounds like he's in charge in this call? "George, I told him I couldn't make decisions without talking to you first because you were my daddy down here."
