What does this have to do with feminism?

Good question. The audience eagerly anticipates a rigorous defense from the OP:

just the idea (as per the last thread with 8 pages) that feminism is more about superiority than equality these days.

i am quite happy to talk to myself anyway.

feminism, the art/act/ideological justification for women blaming men and other women for not forcing women to be more equal(read favoured) than men. Not actively discriminating against men, in the eyes of feminism is discrimination against women..... So your right young khaza, feminism is more rightly about superiority or subjugation of men.

Of course wanting to have this conversation means you must be an evil tool of the patriarchy. Who do you hate women so much? Did a women laugh at your little wee wee once?

Just prepping you for the intelligent questions the apologists for feminism are likely to ask you.

i'm all for equality. in general terms, i might even describe myself as an 'apologist' for feminism, as you put it (i think the term is slightly loaded, but i appreciate the humour :D ). i understand the tenets and justifications of/for intellectual feminism - i just think that both the term and concept are now so far removed from original intent that it is time we reflected that in intellectual discourse. as per previous thread:

Chauvinism -- Equality -- Feminism

the article i have posted is a flagrant and all too common example of the normalisation of the former in modern, colloquial discourse. the beeb being about as colloquial as discourse gets these days. that website makes the Sun look heavy.

When was the last time the OP carried rocks in their pocket as they walked to their car leaving campus?

When was the last time the OP was harrassed on the street for simply riding their bike or walking down the street?

When was the last time a male survivor of rape was blamed because of the clothes he was wearing?

You must live somewhere absolutely heinous. Somalia?

Either that or you're building an ornamental garden at home and you need raw materials.
