Surely this can't be possible. He should be charged with breaking and entering or trespassing. The family have owned the house for 21 years. Seriously the law is mightily fucked up in the U.S if he gets the house for free  .

This has been attempted in Texas in recent years with no success
and in some instances the interlopers were charged with criminal
trespass and jailed.

favorite part

"When you abandon a property, bam, walk away from it, 'I ain't never coming back. I don't want nothing to do with it,' right? Somebody can come in, 'Oh, mine,'" Mr Carr said, explaining why he thinks the properties can be taken.

He does not act alone.

"I have a team of people who go out and I say make sure the house is empty. If it's empty, change the locks," Mr Carr said.

Who the hell does this guy think he is?

This is part of a loose-knit movement of North American conspiracy theorists called Sovereign Citizens / Freemen of the Land promoted by guests on the Alex Jones radio show and other places. They use a variety of selective elements of statutorily repealed common law to attempt to acquire property titles or try to get cases dismissed from court.

According to them, the Magna Carta says no one can be deprived liberty unless they violate "the law of the land" so a secret cabal has used admirality law to circumvent it, which is why American flags have gold tassel in courtrooms like the flags of classical ships at sea. If a person declares in an open court that they demand to be governed by the laws of the land then they are instantly free of all restrictions and become their own judges and makers of their own laws, like Mr. Carr. The border pattern on Obama's birth certificate indicates it is actually part of a ship's birth register and, therefore, proves that Obama could not have been born on U.S. territory.

This is a popular video showing a Sovereign Citizen in a Manitoba courtroom. The real judge eventually gets exasperated, calls a recess and leaves. The SC says the judge has "abandoned ship," declares himself the judge and "dismisses" his own case.

Obama's BC came in 14 layers, ie it was computer generated and the investigators hired to put it to bed; confirm its authenticity declared it was fake.

But yes, regarding sovereign citizens for the most part.

This thread seems like it's in danger of dying so I'm gonna throw some red meat in here to try and salvage it.

Michelle Obama has Dog Attack Toddler at White House

The vicious attack reportedly left onlookers stunned as the canine was unleashed on a young girl.

Here's the attack from a different angle. As you can see, after Obama has unleashed her hound on the toddler, she pulls him back and yells "Boooyah!" at the helpless girl. She even flashes her cleavage at the toddler as though to say "ain't got none of this, honey."

Check out the looks on the faces of the pastry chefs.

Also, look how large Obama is compared to everyone else in the room. The woman is not in proportion to anyone else, she's basically a giant.

I really wish I could get a giant blow-up of the faces of the pastry chefs - Lupe and Sasparilla are virtually in tears while Chocolate Thunder is like "Bitch be Crazy!"

Getting back to the original post. I found this interesting.

"Before it reverts to the bank, a number of steps must be taken. Contract law rules here, and as Mr. Carr is not a party to the mortgage contract, he has no say in anything until such steps are taken.

I cannot speak for the jurisdiction in question, but in mine (IAAL), a foreclosure action can only be undertaken through a lawsuit launched by the mortgagee; and only after all other attempts to collect have been attempted. The contract is between the mortgagee (the bank) and the mortgagor (the borrower). No other parties have any standing in the matter. If the mortgagor chooses not to respond (i.e. "walks away from the deal"), then the mortgagee wins (i.e. gains title) by default.

I would not be surprised if the same rules applied in the jurisdiction in question. Until a court allows the bank to legally repossess, title belongs to the mortgagors, and Mr. Carr is trespassing, at the very least."

If the family still owed on the house I would think the bank or whoever has the mortgage on it would have their lawyers involved also.

Is that mayor Rob Ford in a military uniform behind Michelle and her rabid pooch?

Here's the animated gif ... seriously, though, check-out Chocolate Thunder's expression; this is like the worst thing he's ever witnessed - this 9-foot tall woman in a cocktail dress and her dog that walks on its hinders barrel into a nice party and start attacking people. That's like the theme to a recurring nightmare I used to have when I was 8 years old.

and peeps used to think this chick and her dogs were terrifying
