He's retiring? Finally. How he made it this far is beyond me. Now if he could only take his fraternal twin Miley and their mother Gaga with him into retirement, the music world would be a slightly better place.

to tell the truth, I think the bieber hatred is the funniest part of all. I don't know much about this guy or what he could have done other than being a kid "superstar" like there always has been and like there always will be to fill up a very profitable segment of the music industry. kill a bieber, next day you ll get a new kid selling dope on the same corner, it's a war you cannot win, so you d rather get used to it. what was wrong with the bieber? was he particularly a jerk? never seen anything in that sense (but then i might not know enough).

miley sirus IS anoying. first, she thinks she's hot, or she is pretending to look hot. second, she tries to be so "radical" with her hairstyle and poor little midgets pretending to be her musicians. she sells music for kids and is now making the apology of drugs in her songs and apearances... she s in the middle of her teenage crisis, i get it, but when will it end? and do we really have to witness all these embarassing things? one day she ll look back with a bit more maturity and she'll say look at what disney did to me after i got out of that shit...

one direction.. what the f*ck is that? seriously, sometimes you wonder how that industry can get a hard core fanbase so fast.

tokyo hotel.. was this german band super popular everywhere a few years ago among teens or just in europe?

marketing to pre-teens/teens -> fucking awesome. dumbest population ever. serve them shit and get rich!

Well no it doesn t work for me. Cyrus is over acting the cool drug & whore to try to completely change her image and she tries so hard that it s sad. Bieber didn t show up with a split personality from one day to the next. Anyways, none of these kids deserve the hatred they get, they are just small pieces on the chessboards obeying to the music industry. The parents who don t give their kids a proper music education are the ones to blame.

I hate bieber like I hate any shitty low value product.

Hes on the shelf next to zero calorie sports drinks and KFC salads (they went thru a phase a while ago in NZ - cant seem to find any products on the US site - just like McD's salads but even more retarded).

well the thing with bieber is that the only times i hear something about him it's people posting hatred stuff about him. but what has he done? people hate the fact that he got rich and famous with no talent while they can't pay their rent. I'd just say good for him, but all those hatred stuff generated around him for 2-3 years (i don't really realize how long he's been famous) are just generating buzz around him, and i'm pretty sure contributing to increase his revenues.
why don't we just smack down people who listen to that kind of music, like any good fachist or communist or integrist state would do?

Truth be told, I have an unreasonable hatred for most modern pop "music". Go back to the 80s and prior, I don't mind it as much, but modern day? Like getting poked in the eye, not exactly pleasant.

I feel the same. Music died in 1979 but there are exceptions.

What you are linking isn't music. Theyre all products, manufactured like a bottle of coke.

Music requires creativity.

Note I am not anti-pop per se; there is some quality within the genre. I like Gagas creativity, and I would like Miley if she didnt aim he music at children (as it is she disgusts me as she has a huge amount of power/influence and is ignoring the impact she undoubtedly has - her recent stuff is like handing out copies of GTA V to primary school kids).

I would agree. I don t listen to pop, but there are some stuff and some careers i can respect. People that are actually artists, not products that you throw like toilet paper and replace by another roll.

Disagree completely.

Bieber and co are handpicked with their music and lyrics written for them and their image tailored specifically for a target audience; purely manufactured with zero creativity - art and music requires creativity - therefore it isnt music. Just listen to some of 1d's recent hits, pretty sure they could almost be taken to court over how close they are riding some other artists sounds and styles.

Honestly, there are better things in the world to stress about (not just global issues. This can include worrying about your own self-improvement). If you take the time to worry about Bieber or Miley, then the alternative use of your time is low.
