So here's the thing.

They never get married, but together they have 4 kids



In the 80s, Segolène is the president's councelor and a few times minister during the socialist Mitterand's presidency, and François is first secretary of the socialist party.
In 2007, Segolène wins the socialist primaries, and gets to run against Sarkozy for the presidential election. Sarkozy had been a very successfull minister during Chirac's presidency and it was almost sure he would win.



Sarkozy wins, and the rumour grows stronger during the campaign regarding Segolène and françois not being together anymore. In 2012, François wins the socialist primaries for the presidential elections and gets to face Sarkozy, looking for a reelection. Sarkozy had had lots of controvers during his presidency, and basically anyone could ve won. So François won.




François not being with Segolène anymore, presented the new first lady. A journalist still carrying her ex husband's name and still not fully divorced. Of course, she isn't married with François.



Funny thing is that François didn't put Segolène anywhere in his government. So he tried to "parachute" her last minute to become head of a region. But the socialist guy that had been elected there for over 20 years didn't want to resign and let Segolène take his place... And the people from that Region didn't want Segolène there as she knew f*ck all... So Valerie sent a message of support to the region governor against Segolène. This became extremely funny... as basically the president's girfriend and his ex wife were fighting over twitter.



And las t friday.... a bomb!!!! A french tabloid found out that François is fucking with a french actress, basically he takes his scooter at lunchtime and goes for a shag. Valerie is suffering from a huge depression ever since and is in a hospital.

First of all, Hollande is not a married man, and trierwieller DOES have a political role. She is his official biatch, and she goes with him everywhere to meet world leaders and to official ceremonies. She has an office in the Elysee palace and sometimes has a role in current affairs. She has not been elected. She is the first lady. It IS my business to know if she still is the first lady given that she's in a hospital for depression following this tabloid story. This is a bit more complex than Chirac's or Mitterand's fucks about. Had Triewieler showed up with a big smile as if nothing happened, well end of the story, but the whole country knows she is depressend and in the hospital, so yeah, there is definitely a big deal about this.

Hollande is a turd. You have to be blind not to see that the country is going to shit since his election. During Sarkozy's presidency, the economical indexes were above average compared to other western countries. We are the ones doing the worse within the european big 5 countries since he's here. He is a clear incompetent, he isn't doing anything with his government. And the "political" role of V.Trierwieller is so minimal. He'll take someone else or nobody to visit other countries. This is of such a minor importance.

Well each time I live abroad, no matter the newspapers or the internet pages i read, I don t have the glimpse of the everyday life frenchman you over hear on the next table, while you walk down the street, when you buy your bread, conversing with acquantances of every political views ect. You kind of live in a bubble concerning national politics when you live abroad, I m saying this because it happened to me many times.

Sarkozy got dumped by his wife during the 2007 elections or slightly before but it wasn t official. She still sticked to him during the entire election, even made it to the Elysée (our white house). A couple of month later, she was shown in the press with her new lover and it became official. A month later, Sarkozy presented Carla Bruni to the press in eurodisney. That was an awkward moment! It looked really like something staged, but at the end of the day they are still together and it seems to be a real couple, they have a 2 year old daughter (that was another strage thing... The president that became father while being in office!)

Hollande wasn t married to this Valerie, but she was still there in every official ceremony, and presented as the first lady. Regarding the actress he is shagging/dating... No idea if she is his "official" or if officially he is single. The split up news with Valerie is from today. Hollande has a trip organized to visit Obama shortly and people were wondering if he would go alone, with Valerie or with Julie...

I highly doubt Hollande will get reelected, he is extremely unpopular right now. Sarkozy will present himself again in 2017 and will most likely win..
