I keep hoping that if I ignore lametarded things, like the combine, they will go away. They keep getting louder though. What can we do to end this tyranny? I don't care. It's not news. It's not important. f*ck you NFL.

Then don't watch it?
The only reason I watched the NFL network is for Thursday night games and they have some interesting documentaries/top 10 lists.

This is not the right option. In an illiberal society, we should deem what is best for others. Let's sign a petition and get our guns!

CBS has rights to simulcast half the Thursday games now, so that's a bit of a wash.
I'd agree, the documentaries are pretty good, even if they do interview Mark Madden from time to time (horrible local radio host). The news and other stuff you can just get from nfl.com though.

Agreed... living in an NFL Franchise city means it never stops all year long. NFL games four nights a week is too much. I think it's a conspiracy to get people to drink more beer.
In baseball they're already talking about swaps in the starting lineup for a season that hasn't even begin exhibition fucking games. Meanwhile the Yankees have signed a pitcher paying him nearly a million bucks a month for the next ten fucking years?

I'm actually somewhat disappointed CBS picked up the games. Like I like that they'll be better matchups, and I LOVE Simms and Nantz, but I just loved listening to Nessler (and to a lesser extent, Mayock, but mostly Nessler) do the play by play. Hopefully one of the networks get them.

Oh, and I'm just curious, but what do people think about Sharpe and Marino not being on the CBS pregame?
I read a lot of internets article comments and like, apparently EVERYONE fucking hates Sharpe. I mean, I completely understand that he can be incomprehensible sometimes AND I'm a Bronco fan and love Shannon, but I think he's the most interesting guy on any of the shows.

I like Howie Long, but I much preferred watching him on the grid iron, that goes for Shannon and Deion and all the other loud mouthed former players. At least Howie isn't a loud mouth.

Breaking News:
Dunking the football is now illegal after a touchdown.
Note that it is not illegal after a safety.
First off: touchdown dances are an embarrassment on the human race. Show some decorum please. Don't get any more excited than Prince Chuck at teatime.
Second off: Worst fucking rule ever. NoFunLeague indeed.
Also,
Ralph Wilson is dead.

No, the worst rule is in basketball, where if you dunk the ball during warm ups, its an automatic technical foul and the other team gets 2 freethrows BEFORE tipoff.

MARK YOUR FUCKING CALENDARS!!!!
Denver Broncos at New England Patriots (Week 9, Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET)The
15th career meeting between future
Hall of Fame quarterbacks Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will see both signal callers take the field at an age of 37 or older, so who knows how many more of these
legendary showdowns we have left.
Brady holds a 10-5 SU and 8-6-1 ATS
lifetime edge against Manning, but the last five encounters have seen the Denver quarterback post a 3-2 SU mark against his counterpart while going just 2-3 ATS. This is a
revenge spot for Brady and the Pats, who fell 26-16 at Denver during last January’s AFC Championship game. Be advised that over the last five years, Brady has been a
home dog just once. That instance? Last season’s Week 12
come-from-behind win over Manning and the Broncos.
Projected point spread: Denver -1

This next gem is intended for Grantland as well: Michael Sam is not a story, stop pretending he is. You really are pandering to the LCD if you continue to cover the story. Anyone who is interested in reading that bullshit should be sent to Gitmo.

I'm pretty sure only Aspies and closeted homosexuals trying to pass as straight watch the NFL network in the off season.
Of course I still read about my team and get updates about the draft, but watching tv about it, really?

Michael Sam was going to be a media frenzy thing either way.
The only thing I have ever really watched on the NFL network is the "Top 10" show, some pretty cool things there.

Yeah, I mean if I'm in a hotel room and flipping channels, I might stay on a top ten list countdown show, sure. Maybe that's where their ratings primarily come from, like CNN. It's just on at places and usually muted.

I think it's a story but ESPN and everyone are beating it like a dead horse.
It's a much, much lesser version of Jackie and Jackie is a all-time player while Sam is a barely-got-drafted player but it's still a story.
