We watched it in music class once. It was pretty hard to pay attention to movies in school.

Saw Amadeus on stage several times. It works best as a play methinks.

Sir Neville Marriner aufgenommen. Im Booklet zur Soundtrack-LP erklärt er: „… One of the good things about Amadeus was that the film was shot around the music – not the other way around as is usually the case.

this movie received 8 oscars 1985? ( i can be wrong, but i think it was 8)
and thats a lot of oscars for one movie

many things in the movie are not true , like example
in the movie u see only one son of mozart ( in real he had 6 children ( ok, 4 of them died a little babys)
and in real salieri did not hate mozart, they where competitors but respecting each other
and in the movie it seems salieri is much older than mozart, and in real salieri was only born 6 month before mozart

mozart spoke many languages and had many other interests than just his music, i love his music,
but not only mozarts
i am a true fan of beethoven, bach, vivaldi, tschaikovsky, eduard grieg, and many others
i would have never become a fan of classical music until i had to play the piano as a young man,
after i fell in love with the most inspiring music on earth, classical music
i even played in front of 2000 people, loong time ago

One of my favorite musicals of all time. And not just because of a certain actor who happened to be in it.
