Honestly? No. I think this is the first crazy to attack with a hand axe.

He attacked police officers.
He had converted to Islam.
He had prior arrests in California.

While it is clear he may have been motivated by Radical Islamists and probably took ISIS's call to heart. I suspect that the news cycle more than a direct command pushed him over the edge.

The only thing we know for certain is he was formerly in the U.S. Navy. So, he spent 8 weeks in recruit training and at least that long in A-School. In other words, he underwent four months of indoctrination by a heavily armed organization. Is the U.S. Navy radicalizing Americans? What's even more frightening is we have solid evidence this "U.S. Navy" has gotten its hands on nuclear weapons.

Time to send in the Marines-er, Eagle Scouts?
