i think that buying a 80k$ ring gives a better success rate than 80k$ worth of identical phones spread on the ground.
I am really interested to hear what someone doing such thing might be thinking. Could it be a thought process somewhere around this?

A) I think those iphone boxes look really nice. like 800$ a piece nice.
B) my dad is rich, so if I buy 99 iphones it will really look like we're struggling to spend all our money in the family. I like girls liking me just for my money yay!
C) 99 seems like just the right number. I wanted an iphone 6, so I'll just go to the store, buy 100, use one for me and the rest will be perfect to play lego with the boxes!

In most apartments I have lived in there has been a catch inside the front door that when flicked makes the door impossible to unlock from the outside, even with a key.

Some places have a chain that can be placed across the front door, preventing it from fully opening.

Even an old-fashioned bolt lock can be made impossible to open from the outside simply by locking it from the inside and leaving the key in the lock.

Take your pick.

I hope she got the beating she deserves once she opened the door.
