So Canadians are a lot like Americans in many respects, so much so that many people assume Canadians are actually Americans.

The Aussie and Kiwi accents are also very similar.

I believe there are many parallels when comparing the relationships each nation has with the other.

This thread is where we spell out those similarities and differences.

I'll start:

1. When Canadians travel abroad they are often mistaken for Americans due to the similar speech and accents.

• Both are mistaken for English (British)
• they have quite a bit of ocean between their islands.
• I think only one had a rather large penile colony
• they are both commonwealth countries where British governments took control from the brown people that were there before
• neither declared independence from England

In conclusion, sort of?

Both are communist, both are boring, both are now 50% owned by China.

Canada's economy is dominated by the US as Canada does most of it's trade with America.

Is the kiwi economy influenced similarly by the roo lovers?
