Can humans hear major earthquakes before they happen?

If so, I just heard one at 2:45PM CST. My ear went totally deaf with a long ringing, that is usually the signal that there will be a big earthquake event.

My ears were ringing at 345 EST...

Ringing in ones ears is a sign that you are going deaf, not a sign of an impending earthquake.

Of course in the case of Beethoven, the resulting quadruple fortes he used in his subsequent pieces did cause earthquakes.

Not as loud as that of Hotblack Desiato, but still quite loud, for non amplified music.
