I doubt this story will be topped this year:

Just so many levels of insanity in this. Illustrates perfectly the false dichotomy of individuals versus government.

Basically says, that these terrorists weren't our terrorists. That this coup wasn't our coup and the USG has a monopoly on coups and terrorism and their turf has been infringed upon so they will make an example out of these guys.

so why does it say "The Gambia" with the article all around this article, even on the map, but not in the title? Is this state now called "The Gambia" and you need the article in every article? I'm confused.

It has always been called The Gambia and yes, you need the article in every article.

Couple of Gambian ex-pats who happen to be U.S. citizens have been arrested in the U.S. for conspiring to overthrow their government, one of the most corrupt on earth.

Cuban ex-pats plot to overthrow their government all the time and not only get tolerated but sometimes encouraged by the U.S.

However, Cuba is an "enemy" nation and The Gambia is a "friendly" nation. It's ruled by a vicious dictator who spent a lot of money on American-made sunglasses, so being an enemy of The Gambian tyrant makes you an enemy of the U.S.

Guaranteed the first political party will be founded 15 minutes after arrival, and the first violent revolution will occur on Day 3.

This is just who we are. Meet Homo sapiens, the socialist animal.

Word of advice: if your army has less volunteer power than Team CC, you may want to rethink your coup ambitions.
