I just watched The Interview, and in it either James Franco or Kim Jong Un says that the US has a higher per capita prison population than North Korea.
FACT CHECK: is this true?
LOL CHECK: lol @ America

US is #1, Russia #2. North Korea is pretty much a giant prison. I would hate to be a pretty girl in that country.

No one outside North Korea really knows how many people are imprisoned in North Korea, so it's impossible to say for certain. The existing estimates suggest that the incarceration rates per capita are comparable.

Living without internet and irregular power seems like "Cruel and unusual punishment" to me... never mind the working class.

Reminds me of Tax Season when all the workers begin to "salivate" because they're gonna get their tax refunds from their masters.

The sooner you realize there's always a master, the better you'll feel. You're not free of one. You may think you are, but you aren't.

According to this list, they are 4th, but Seychelles and Anguilla are 2 of the 4 countries above them.

Thanks Serbia. SOAD is always excellent listening, and here their point is well made. The United states prison system is alot like the US military in that they are farming out(to private contractors) a fair bit of the "work" and along with that goes the oversight and the accountability. But the taxpayer still foots the bill, essentially we have started subsidizing imprisonment and murder. I find it kinda funny that wdk found this out by watching American entertainment in china though, the irony of that lol to the US is not lost on me.
