For those not in the know, this was the pact that the Soviets and Nazis signed to split up Eastern Europe between them and remained in effect until Hitler set his sights on invading Russia. The ironic part? Putin, in the past, had condemned the Pact.

Putin was correct when he said the M-R pact was necessary after France, Poland, and the UK betrayed Czechoslovakia to the Nazis with the Munich Pact, despite Soviet efforts to protect and defend Czechoslovakia.

So the article acknowledges that the UK, France and Italy had already signed their own appeasement pacts with the Nazis, then tries to use the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact as a means of smearing Russia anyway.

Putin also defends throwing Molotov cocktails through nursery windows. What will he think of next?

Wowzers, the Putin conspiracy rabbit hole goes deep. I almost didn't make it back to the sane parts of the internet.

did you hear original text what Putin said? because this is the next sample of your ignorance.
Putin just answered when western politics (and Polish ones especialy) attacked Russia because Molotov pact. he said that USSR was the last country which made deal (pact) with Hitler. France, UK, Poland had bilateral pacts with Hitler before USSR.
and Russian parliament denounced pact between USSR and Hitler.

The article it's self states he was responding to questions about someone else praising Joe Stallin's diplomacy skills.

Either way you could say the pact is... history?

Fun fact - English pilots used "petrol bombs" in the dawn of aerial warfare back in "The Great War."

Fun fact number 2: during WWII the Soviet army started training dogs to run under tanks with mines, as a new weapon against the Germans. Unfortunately for them, when they tried it out in battle the mine dogs ran and hid under the Soviet tanks, because the Soviets had used Soviet tanks while training the dogs.

Fun fact 3: It was indeed Dr. Ross Geller who inpersonated Captain Sobel in the epic serie 'Band of Brothers'.

well, the point is that some european politics try to introduce that Stalin made pact with Hitler for attacking europe (Poland). what is lie. as I wrote UK, France and Poland itself made pacts with Hitler before Stalin.

In this thread the question is, "can we attach the pact to Putin?"
