when leibniz composed the trenchant aphorism for which he is justly famed, he obviously could not be expected to foresee that the best of all possible worlds would also require AoG to be perma-banned for insufferable stupidity.

“There must be some way out of here,” said the joker to the thief “There’s too much confusion, I can’t get no relief Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth None of them along the line know what any of it is worth”
“No reason to get excited,” the thief, he kindly spoke “There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke But you and I, we’ve been through that, and this is not our fate So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late”
All along the watchtower, princes kept the view While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too
Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl
Floating down through the clouds Memories come rushing up to meet me now. In the space between the heavens and in the corner of some foreign field I had a dream. I had a dream. Good-bye Max. Good-bye Ma. After the service when you're walking slowly to the car And the silver in her hair shines in the cold November air You hear the tolling bell And touch the silk in your lapel And as the tear drops rise to meet the comfort of the band You take her frail hand And hold on to the dream. A place to stay "Oi! A real one ..." Enough to eat Somewhere old heroes shuffle safely down the street Where you can speak out loud About your doubts and fears And what's more no-one ever disappears You never hear their standard issue kicking in your door. You can relax on both sides of the tracks And maniacs don't blow holes in bandsmen by remote control And everyone has recourse to the law And no-one kills the children anymore. And no one kills the children anymore.
Night after night Going round and round my brain His dream is driving me insane. In the corner of some foreign field The gunner sleeps tonight. What's done is done. We cannot just write off his final scene. Take heed of his dream. Take heed.

Holy f*ck!
I never actually saw the lyrics written out.
I always thought it said "Businessman, hey! Drink my wine! Come and dig my herb!" I thought it was a straightforward invitation to put your worldly cares aside and come party.
