i had half that once back when my organs were capable of withstanding that level of punishment (around 750ml vodka with no sodding mixer) and i was pigging hungover for about 3 days, though it felt like a week. i didn't touch a drop for a couple months after. how do you even drink 56 shots?

can anyone improve on that?

I don't get it. I can drink a case of beer in a day, but I can never make it through a case of vodka.

I once drank like 1/3rd bottle of red Eristoff in like 10 minutes, drunk some beer and a couple of hours later I walked into the forest to take a nap.

First time I got plastered was at a New Year's party when I was 19. I drank a 750mL (that's about a fifth, right? That seems right) bottle of jäger plus about four shots of whiskey. In about a half hour. Blacked out soon after.

Pissed myself all over my friends living room. His mom still calls me pee-body whenever I see her.

No hangover, though. Fun times.

A 750 ml is approximately a quart, or 26 ounces (shots)


That bartender served over 2 quarts to that guy, maybe more if each shot was filled to the brim.

That bartender is as dumb as the guy that drank it.

As far as I know many countries do have laws stating that bartenders have some sort of social responsability.
The bartender should have known he was going too far.

Look at it this way. Suicidal people can be beyond saving as well, yet it would not be ethically responsible for a person to aid them in that attempt(unless we're talking about euthanasia).

Euthanasia is just another word for assisted suicide.

If someone wants to kill themselves then that's their choice and if some numb nuts wants to drink an insane amount of alcohol then that's his choice, and I don't see why it's anyone else's business. I certainly don't see why other people should be held legally responsible for the choices of another person. It's his life, not theirs.

I guess it's different if the person is in a coma and has no capacity to tell you they want to die (unless they previously said they want to be killed if they go into a coma).

If a terminally ill patient asks you to kill them, I don't see any difference between that and your depressed friend asking you to buy them a gun so they can shoot themselves.

There are people amongst us that don't know alcohol can kill via blood poisoning. Let's call them idiots for lack of a better term. I assume the idiot that drank all those shots is one of them. The bartender should have known better and should have refused to serve him after about 15 to 20 shots.

The bartender has a responsibility whether you agree with it or not princess. He is in charge of the bar. He aided in the demise of that idiot. However, is the gene pool really at a loss in this instance? You may have an argument there.

In China it's ok to serve dogs with salmonella & e.coli and it's the responsibility of the costumer to know if their immune system can take it or not.
