Conquer Club

Well, how was it?

Mine was spent persuing several species of rodentia (mainly beaver), to no immediate avail. While this may invoke animated shouts of "But where shall young Funky's man-seed find purchase??!!", this isn't about me.

It was good, man, thanks for asking.

I was in a real backwoods area that didn't have internet, but had an infestation of something called New Zealand Mudsnails, or so I was notified by warning signs posted by the Geological Survey that said they were an invasive foreign species that must be destroyed. I thought of Lootifer. Not because of the "must be destroyed" part but because of the "New Zealand" part.

I got pulled over twice by police in less than 24 hours. The first time was for driving the wrong-way down a one-way street, but he just gave me a warning. The next time was for going 15 over the speed limit. Got a ticket for that.

Tried to make it home faster than I could and ended up tired and on the highway at 1 a.m. Tried stopping at three successive motels but they were all closed. Finally slept in my car at a rest area.

Watched Silicon Valley and VEEP this evening, going to bed shortly.

I went to a pretty nice sushi dinner last night, but I had to leave early in order to return some video tapes.

Been sick with a virus going on 3 weeks. I can deal with the sore throat and hoarse voice, but it's the coughing that really sucks.

Apparently you left out the part where you first traveled back in time to the year 1985.

Met some friends got drunk friday ...sobered up on sunday... must have been playing CC sometime but no memory of it what so ever:) must remeber im not 18 anymore

I had a friend once who Went to a strip club in Amsterdam, ate the banana that the stripper used ... got clamydia in his throat:) his mom were with him when the doc explained why her 15 year old son couldnt speak...

Backwoods, but there's speed limits, street rules and cops? I am curious....backwoods here means actual boonies....nearest cell tower is 40 miles away where we go camping....nearest town is 70...same with where we go hunting.....

I spent 15 hours prepping and repainting our 10 piece iron deck furniture (what a pain)...had a family function saturday here with folks, sibs and related misc kiddos....very fun....put my new BBQ thru her paces ;o). Laid on my ass yesterday and watched nascar and Jupiter Rising....really liked that flick....

It doesn't end there though.

My golf club recently started offering discount days. Meanwhile, there are rampant criminals in the region, both blue collar and white collar. I was trying to golf, but somebody was wearing a t-shirt, that's how bad it's gotten. I'm going to cancel my membership, but there is a cancellation fee. I guess I'll just keep it out of spite.

Nah, I didn't bang AOG's mom (recently), so not that. And I haven't visited China yet, so not MERS. Probably just SOL for now.

my weekend is monday and tuesday.

monday i went out for lunch, bought some new shoes, then played some 5 a side football in the evening, rounded off with a cold beer and some street-bbq.

this morning i went to the gym, then i went to subway, then i bought some veg and a baguette. my lentil soup is currently simmering.
