-----The GOV. changed his mind....Story Time....Reagan didn't want to make MLK Jr's B-Day a National Holiday. Because those kind of Holiday's cost the government money. For years MLK Jr's B-day wasn't celebrated in The State of Arizona.The only State not to make MLK Jr's B-Day a Holiday. Only when The NCAA and The NFL put pressure on The State. No Superbowl or major collage bowls,would be held in Arizona. Only then did Arizona make MLK Jr's B-Day a Holiday.
