In copyright claim number 2, Universal Pictures France demands that IP address 127.0.0.1 be removed from Google search results, for copyright infringement relating to the movie Jurassic World.

What is it with the French that causes them to be foxed by even the simplest pieces of technology, like computers and electric razors? Is it all those mad cow they put in their burgers?

the ip adress 127.0.0.1 is used to identify your own computer in a network.

if you have a web server installed in your computer you can reach it by typing 127.0.0.1 on a browser, or if you have shared folders or printers, they can be accessed on that address. basically means "this computer im on"

if i recall correcy they were saying that there was a trailer or something like that in the computer they were reporting from, which sounds funny.

mrs wdk probably didn't know what it meant either, except she read the explanation somewhere else.

You'll learn what 127.0.0.1 is just by playing with your computer's internet settings.
