Why are people boycotting that Stonewall movie?

Evidently first people thought it wasn't going to accurately portray the events, and now that the movie is out, reviewer seems to think it is a poor movie anyways: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/sty ... stonewall/

Funny that people would wildly hate on Stonewall for presenting an airbrushed version of events, while thinking that American Sniper was the best thing ever.

To be fair, a number of reviewers talked about the whitewashing of American Sniper. However, the populace at large enjoyed that whitewashing.

I think most people are avoiding stonewall because #1: they heard reviewers think it just isn't a good movie, and #2: it is a topic that is unfamiliar to most, and #3: if avoided, they can then be a part of the #clicktavism on twitter about the movie.

I know I won't see movie, though really only for reason #1, and mostly for reason #0 that I don't go out to movies much anymore. I like classic and foreign films anyways.

I don't like beards or pasta.

I might go see The Martian in theatres though.

Argo was a total betrayal of facts and "Americanized" as every one knows, hero's only come from America.
