-------At least this time the gunman was honest...He said ,"When you go out and shoot a lot of people. You become famous." People went on his twitter/facebook etc.. were making posts,on his account. Before he went out and did it. Some told him not to. My favorite,is many told him, yeah do it..do it...I LOVE IT...But wait,I thought taking down the battle flag was going to stop the killing. Nice job America. WHAT WILL WAL-MART stop selling next? Computer devices ,so people can't go on twitter/facebook... -------They are bringing up,that he was born in England and moved to the US as a little boy. Who cares were he was born. As of yesterday, he was a US citizen. WHAT THE HELL,DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING? COME ON AMERICA,ONLY SIX MORE MASS SHOOTINGS,WE CAN HIT 1,000 in 3 years... I expect the England reference was inferring that he lost it concerning grammar and spelling and went ballistic over that.

Oh man....that was good....
Anyway, this was about 250 miles south of me...just awful. Guess the kid interviewed the victims first as to their religion...if they answered Christian, they got shot in the head...if anything else, they got shot in the leg. Just wow.....

He posted about it the night before on 4chan, though not with many details. Some took him seriously, some not. Others actually gave advice on the type of gun to use apparently.

So this would actually be news if it happened somewhere else in the world. In the US, well, just another atention whore putting in practice his right to own a gun. Sorry about the victims, and sorry about all the mountain lions that force you to own 275 million fireweapons among civilians.

That school had a no gun policy. You weren't even allowed water pistols on campus. The other students could have protected themselves if they could have wet his pants.
the school may have had a no gun policy, but i'm willing to bet the local wal-mart sure as f*ck didn't. lrn2read dy

O_o
So I see this is being turned into yet another argument over gun control, or its lack thereof.

how could it be otherwise? do you suggest that for the next 20 mass shootings we ought to ignore the rational impulse to evaluate whether the time might be right to finally do something about this recurring nightmare?
there is no speed limit in mythiopia. mythiopia has an average of 18 road fatalities every week. at the scene of the last multi-car pile-up, president hoblama spoke with visible irritation about the need to finally get a handle on the situation and introduce speed limits on the roads of mythiopia. after being vilified for 'politicising' the issue in certain sections of the mythiopian press and being cordially invited to stfu by the NSA (national speeding association), president hoblama pressed on regardless and drafted a bill to be put before congress on this thorny issue. president hoblama, it goes without saying, is unmythiopian. he probably wasn't even born in mythiopia.

We have ourselves a comedian, I see.
But all mocking aside, we can neither abolish guns, the right of which to own is in our Bill of Rights, nor can we adopt a policy like the Swiss where it's a duty, neither a right nor a privilege, because not everyone WANTS to own a gun, and not everyone would be capable of using one.
The best policy is, in my opinion, restrict it to those who are both lacking a record of violent crimes, and judged psychologically sound of mind. Even that, though, is a big step from where we are.
Can you plot out a comprehensive plan where we move toward that in a feasible series of steps?

I don't understand why American schools don't have security guards.

At least in America it is a fair fight. Give everyone a gun and let them Mad Max each other.
In Pakistan there is no fair fight. The innocent people of Islamabad have no choice but to hide and hope that the next drone missile does not annihilate their children as they walk to school.

Not sure your founding fathers had in mind automatic guns in suburban environment. Americans have so little history that theonly thing you desperately hold on to is your original constitution. Life was pretty different back then, and owning a gun in the wild west wasn t quite the same lifestyle. The only constant is change. Get over it. Your original constitution is not adapted to the 21st century.

This is why tradition and customs should be overthrown from generation to generation. Destroy the old, in with the new.

Embrace the risk of your child being massacred in their school just because of some old piece of paper if you like, but that's not for me.
