So I just watched the epiaode of Pokemon where Ash battles Gary in the johto league championships
Ash, instead of using his stronger, more experienced pokemon (Pikachu, Squirtle, Bulbasaur...hell even fucking Phanpy) uses a bunch of shitty, normal types that he hasn't used in literal years...I'm talking about Tauros, Muk, Heracross and Snorlax. Seriously, when was the last time he used any of them? And this is the most important fucking battle of his god damn short life
He's lucky that Charizard jerked off and flew to the rescue. Why the f*ck would you leave Pikachu on the bench? That's like leaving Lebron, Crosby and Aaron Rodgers in the bench

Yeah, after peeking in on it after years and years since the last time I watched it, out of all his pokemon, only pikachu is still with him. And he's still 10. Misty and Brock? Apparently they no longer exist or something.

what the hell. So there's one episode (johto region I think) where they make such a big deal about a person that can talk with pokemon (it turns out he's bullshitting). but it's pretty clear Ash and everyone else can all talk to their pokemon with no problem: "what was that Pikachu? little jimmy fell down a well?" etc

I don't know man. I started watching the first season for nostalgia's sake and just kept going.
and they're not on tv, at least not the episodes I've been watching. They're all on Youtube though

I had a Raichu but he's a piece of shit compared to Zapdos. I also had a Flareon but he was just a piece of shit full stop.

I replaced Snorlax with Rhydon.
So now it's Hypno, Blastoise, Moltres, Zapdos, Rhydon, Dragonite.
