Uh, he's a democrat...soooooo, I assume that guarantees the african-american vote...and the gay vote...and the immigrant vote, beings the GOP has alienated all those groups from its preamble. However, i don't know how the african-american vote is played between him and Hillary; however, if Bernie gets in, I am sure those groups will fall in line with Sanders and not with Trump (it seems that's who will be leading the GOP in time, not withstanding some type of unfortunate "accident" or "circumstance" that would take Trump out of the running).

So how do you explain the fact that one of the major GOP candidates is black?

Among Democratic voters, the vast majority of minorities prefer Clinton. In some polls Sanders doesn't even top single digits among black voters.

Assuming that of which Clinton would win; however, if Bernie won (and we know he will) the black vote would quite easily shift his way...no worries there. But as far as getting the DNC nod, that is a very hard "hill" to climb and deserves quite a bit of work from his campaign and himself.

Your joking if you think that if Ben Carson were somehow able to beat out Trump for the candidacy that somehow...someway, black voters would just turncoat on the Democratic Party? Really?
