Pray for pope Francis

Postby jgordon1111 on Tue Nov 03, 2015 9:01 am

I now understand why the pope kept telling people to pray for him, he is trying to change 2000yrs of wrong. And taking heat for it even inside his city. At first I was thinking just another pope meh, but he got my attention when he apologized to the people of south and central America for what the church had done to their culture in the past, then he damn near lost me when he canonized certain as the first American saint, not a good move in many of my extended families eyes, but the man is trying to build bridges, in the only way he can. Yes pray for him,

I didn't mean to omit the name junipero serrano, it seems to many things were going thru my mind at that moment, for those that don't know the backstory here, that particular priest is condemd by native Americans, and he was a spainaird by birth and raising and only came to America to impress the Churches then policy of intolerance toward any religion other than Christianity.
