Why did Obama interrupt The Simpsons with that worthless speech? Probably the weakest speech I have ever listened to from a president...no...wait. It WAS the weakest speech I ever listened to from the president, telling me to "embrace Islam"...WTF?

Ha! Let's summarize Obama's speech for those who (wisely) skipped it.
1. Domestic terrorism is here and we need gun control, internet censorship, disable encryption and work with *"Muslim allies" to stop it.
2. Foreign policy wise, Congress needs to agree to more bombing because that's worked so well thus far.

That's about it.



*Muslim Allies, like Qatar, Saudi Arabia. ISIS are a mix Salafists and Wahhabist which are sects of Sunni Islam. Saudi Arabia is Wahhabist as are most of the population of Qatar, which is why Saudi Arabia and Qatar support, arm and finance ISIS. To note, Salafists and Wahhabists are often used interchangeably, much to the chagrin of Salafists and Wahhabists.
Our Muslim enemies, Syria, Iran, Hezbollah all hate and fight ISIS, Salafists and Wahhabists.
Wanna take bets on which "Muslim Allies" Obama is willing to work with and do you think that would help stomp out Islamic fascists?

Edit: and Oh yeah, a link that help explains the ideological connection between Saudi Arabia, ISIS and to a slightly lesser extent, Qatar.

My whole beef was why he needed to do a special speech on this in the first place. The American people (and by "American people" I mean those people that care about such things) understood the president's views on terrorism, gun control, etc. prior to his speech. I, for one, learned nothing new (yes, I watched).

And that is not meant to be a partisan criticism. I think President Obama is a fine Republican president.

Obama is the kid of guy that thinks everyone wants to hear what he has to say or what he thinks. He's also the kind of guy who loves the sound of his own voice and desires to bring that joy to everyone else.

Agreed. This speech had nothing that I didn't already know. It was a meaningless waste of time. Therefor, The Simpsons didn't deserve to be interrupted by this meaningless teleprompter drool.
