Israeli forces going too far?

In February, IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot, broke with his government and expressed his deep misgivings as to the treatment of Palestinians and Arabs by the IDF-

The IDF cannot speak in slogans such as ‘if someone comes to kill you, arise to kill them first,’ or ‘everyone who carries scissors should be killed,’” he said. And he had an example for what was bothering him: “There were places with a 13-year-old girl holding scissors or a knife, and there’s a barrier between her and the soldiers. I wouldn’t want to see a soldier opening fire and emptying a (rifle) magazine on such a girl.” Eisenkot wasn’t doing more than repeating the principles of the Israel Defense Forces’ long-standing rules of engagement: that a soldier should only shoot to kill in a clear life-threatening situation. But he knew that in the current atmosphere of hysteria over the stabbings, it is no longer that clear.

Israeli soldier who shot captured Palestinian assailant faces murder investigation

In the video of the incident, provided by a B'Tselem fieldworker following a stabbing attack that left one soldier wounded in Hebron, the soldier is seen shooting the Palestinian assailant who was lying on the ground, wounded, and who did not pose a threat to security forces.

In a new video, published Friday, security forces can be seen evacuating the wounded soldier while the wounded assailant lies on the ground. A voice can be heard saying that the suspected terrorist is still alive and should not be approached: "He might be booby-trapped. Be careful not to touch him until the sappers arrive," one of those present is heard saying. Nonetheless, the comments do not seem to elicit any change in behavior by those present, who remain close to the wounded assailant.

No, both Israelis and Palestinians are not ready for Israeli leaving of West Bank... Gaza is being destroyed on regular basis, West Bank doesn't need to suffer the same.
Political agreement is needed first, and Hamas should be expelled from Palestinian territories for life.

That seems unlikely. Hamas, much as I dislike them, are the people in charge. You don't make peace with your friends, as the saying goes.
