Trump never started

This is the thread for theories about The Donald never wanting to win in the first place.

The traditional goal of a presidential nominee is to win the presidency and then serve as president.

Donald J. Trump is not a traditional candidate for president.

Presented in a recent interview with a scenario, floating around the political ether, in which the presumptive Republican nominee proves all the naysayers wrong, beats Hillary Clinton and wins the presidency, only to forgo the office as the ultimate walk-off winner, Mr. Trump flashed a mischievous smile.

“I’ll let you know how I feel about it after it happens,” he said minutes before leaving his Trump Tower office to fly to a campaign rally in New Hampshire.

Has he just been playing the American public for fools?

Partially, I think. And possibly partially to try and save face.

I kinda get the impression that he never expected to get where he has, and now he's milking it.

Though, at this point, you have to wonder if this hasn't hurt his business outside of a very specific demographic; uneducated, older, white guys with racist tendencies.

Outside of them, his approval rating from other demographics is plummeting.

From what I've seen, his campaign fund is paying a huge amount to his own companies.

Nothing illegal, of course, but he's still raking in money.

Depends on that. Considering he's had to file for bankruptcy on 4 separate occasions. May only be worth a fraction of what he claims to be worth. And despite promises to show his tax returns, he has yet to do so (being audited is not a valid excuse, apparently).

And, that's not including some possible ties to Russian banks/businesses possibly helping keeping him afloat. Or it being revealed on national TV that he has his products (like neck ties) made overseas, despite promising to "bring work back to the states"...

I predict that Trump will defy the odds and clinch the Republic candidacy.

Well someone better get the memo to Bernie that that's what he's supposed to be doing, because right now he seems to have become distracted rushing to the defense of the Brazilian president who was impeached for being corrupt AF.

Bernie lending political support to a senior female politician who is under investigation for misconduct in office. Now where have we heard that one before? Looks like Beach House Bern is settling into his new role as an Establishment mouthpiece with relish!
