Looks pretty good and auto gyros are pretty safe, easy to fly with only one issue I know of, something called bunting.

Kind of expensive but not worse than a regular small plane.

Your gonna have to explain bunting... I have no idea what it is or what it affects.....I'll ask google-sensei for a quick summary, but i figure you have an idea on this vehicle.

Althought I love the idea of this, can you IMAGINE what would happen with a shitload of these out there? Accidents landing / taking off from roads (nice prop thru the window of an oncoming car, powerlines, overpasses, etc)....midair collisions...drunk flying  Couldn't even GUESS at the insurance rates....

They're probably quite expensive and require certain permits to fly. Both of those would keep the number of these in the marketplace down. I'd just like to try and drive one though.

I have never flown one. I have only read about them and spoke with a few who flew them.

Basically they can flip forward under power. It's rare but if it happens it is almost always catastrophic.

I know an older pilot who has flown a lot of different planes and helicopters. Gyrocopters are his favorite.

this person is a pretty bad driver. he's taking all the road with his bs and the guy behind can't even overtake him.
Also, he can't fit his groceries in there.
