For the record, I just moved to a new state and started a new job, so I have a partial excuse for not trying my hardest to win

Cry me a river.

And what exactly would you have done? You lost by 69 points.

Didn't you stream all the pitchers you could for the last day? The three you left out were poor pitchers and that was a wise decision. Your lineup was solid, you didn't need to make moves there, unlike me. I had the best pitchers for Sunday because I planned it with anticipation and started getting them days before.

I could (and would) have done that too, if my mind wasn't paying attention to slightly more important things than fantasy baseball.

I missed 49 points because I wasn't paying close attention and Tillman, Syndergaard, and Colon didn't pitch for me in the last week. So if I had done that right, I would have been down by only 20 points. If you don't think that by paying a little more attention I could have swung a measly 20 points, then you're just delusional. In reality, if I had tried even a little you would have lost, so I don't really know what you're so proud of.

Congrats though, you did win fair and square.

and if my grandma had wheels...

that would've left you with one more start to use before sunday.. if you consider you would'e easily gotten 21 points from it you're not correct. i streammed pitchers fhe two weeks and got negatives and few points other days.. i was making the obvious choices, considering matchups, the lineups, era, etc.

also, if you had gotten syndergaard's points i wouldn't have relaxed and would've added a 2B instead of Lemahieu, because it was known that he wasn't going to play a lot because they wanted him to win the batting tittle, and in my mind the players to replace him were always either devon travis or drury (who can be seen in the logs were favourites of mine when i needed a 2b man) who happened to do well those days.. I also would've dropped stanton who wasnt playing much either and would've added either andrew bailey or ken giles as an extra closer and would've gotten a few extra points.

instead, since i was comfortably ahead, i followed the original plan that was to use my starts soon and start getting sunday probables (either as a precaution just in case and to stop you from getting them) as soon as tuesday. i had counted your starts (counting tillmans and syndergaards and colon's) and knew that unless you changed your way of playing, you were unable to beat me at getting the best sunday probables. and you had no reason to do so, since you had a decent pitching staff.

my original plan and the one i followed was that because your team was better as it was shown during the regular season and on the semifinals. you can't discount any merit from my way of playing because i always win, so first you have to prove you're capable of beating me, because if you don't it sounds just like excuses.

so don't get your ideas going and accept i'm the king of fantasy baseball. and if you don't try hard enough that's your fault, try being obssesive for a while, it's fun.

also, if you had gotten those points from syndergaard and tillman and colon, there's no way you would've gotten chacin and marquez for sunday, i would've freaked and beat you to get them too.. but i was relaxed and aware you were busy with your moving. you did surprise me when i saw you added pitchers sunday morning, so i had to start a few pitchers i meant to leave on the bench. and had to drop lemahieu and stanton who i wanted to keep only because i had drafted them, even though i know they weren't playing.

yeah, that doesn't bother me at all.

the guy with the best team in the league, the one that made the most points the whole season didnt advance on semifinals because he wouldn't adapt and add a couple of starters.

to me it's why it's fun, doesn't matter if your players get in a slump or surprisingly suck all year, you can adapt and win. and if the opponent adapts too, you adapt better and win.

it's fun being obssesive over some things, as shown by that PL infamous contest.
