ITT we learn that the EU Parliament is so small-time that pretty much anyone can address it - even local politicians. I wonder who's next to address EuroParl? The Mayor of Orlando, Florida? The third assistant director on the Netflix show Stranger Things? Thorthoth?

In 228 years, the U.S. Congress has only had two foreigners who are not a head-of-state or chief-of-government address it (in 1824 by the Marquis de Lafayette and in 1934 by André Lefebvre de La Boulaye, the French ambassador, during the centennial of the death of the Marquis de Lafayette).

Does it matter? At this point I'd be surprised if even the republicans wouldn't submit a new candidate against Trump. In 2020 it'll be Trump vs everyone else.

ITT we learn Saxi feels the man in charge of the 8th largest economy in world is just a "local leader" equal to the mayor of a city. I wonder which state Saxi is from? Sakha, or Tuva maybe... certainly somewhere in Russia. Oh wait whats that saxi??? California's economy is bigger than Russia's? Maybe Trump should try colluding with a state within his own union next time and save himself the global embarrassment.

To be fair, that happens in the US Congress, too ... when an irrelevant delegate from a small state shows up to speak, this happens ....
