How are things with you?

This thread belongs on the Street Corner, but you can't make polls in there.

Serious answers only, please, this is going to determine governmental policy.

I am thinking things like building, woodworking, mechanicing, cooking, being a house bitch, being a dad, accounting, taxes, running a small biz   Politics....not so much.

Just sold my old klunker of a dirtbike (84 yamaha TT600) for $500. Picked up a very nice 93 honda XR200R (much easier on an old guy to start, ride, move...my racing days are gone, lol) for that $500. $1500 bike but it wouldnt start. Dude that had it knows nothing about mechanics. Bought a new carb and plugwire ($40). Damn thing runs like new ;o) Matches my youngest boys XR80R....fun.

I didn't know you did any woodworking. What sorts of things do you do? I'm surprised you still come to this forum since you don't like politics.

I had a friend that only used Zebra wood for all the embellishments on his house, furniture and gun grips. Expensive but ultra cool.

Started at about 13. At 14 got a,cool job building wooden presentation beer boxes and the owner had the sweetest shop that he let me use after hours. Worked there til 18.

Made solid cedar chests, bassinets, misc furniture, but my love was custom wooden presentation boxes for guns and odd funky boxes with parquetry.

Loved zebrawood...very hard wood but with patience, absolutely beautiful. Also ebony, koa, padouk, purpleheart, etc....love that shit.

Built my 25 x 35 garage and my 16 x 32 unfinished cabin....lot more time than money! Lol

Sorry if i keep fonking up your politics thread Yoshmeister :D
