My Denist

My dentist was Jewish. Loved to talk about it. He is deceased now. His family was from Spain then kicked out. Moved to France (same result) then to Russia where 11 family members died when the Germans attacked the village. After the war they fled west and immigrated to the USA. His Grandmother would say, "Keep your violin in your hand and your suitcase packed!" As they might need to flee again.

Durning the 1st intifada he was concerned about the violence and the boarder threats against Jews. Thinking of his family history I asked him if he owned a gun. He answered, "No" and after a long pause, "Why?"

On my next visit he let me know he purchased one and practiced at the range.
