names and stories of their athletes...KOOL...---------Let us wonder it was 1503 years between the old Olympics of Greece...393 A.D. to The beginning of the modern Olympics starting in 1896 A.D...Should we stop and wait another 1503 years , take a break for awhile?...
---------Outside of the fact that China started a worldwide pandemic...Has stated that they are taking over the world, going to lead the world... Everything is made in China...So there isn't much the world can do...Or argue how things are done in China...XI the Chinese leader will showcase his power much like The Germans in the 1936 Olympics...Well maybe, it will be broadcast around the world...I don't know if there will be people in the stands...Outside of athletes being safe from Covid...Will athletes be safe from the Chinese Government???...The Traditional torch relay/run was brought to the Olympics by, the last one you would expect...The Germans ,The 1936 Olympics, the last one like XI...Who would use the games to showcase a world take over...Kind of wonder why the Olympics still use a tradition started by the 1936 Olympics...Or does the old saying still mean something these days...."There is a wee bit of good , in even the worst of us."...Does the I.O.C. follow that saying???

----------After the 1936, 1972, ...The 2 superpowers of 1980,1984...Which ironic delt with Afghanistan,maybe now, but did they even have Olympic athletes in 80,84???...Outside of the superpowers , did anyone else boycott those games...I think it was more about Russia and The USA, then about Afghanistan...If we knew about 1936 A.D. Germany, what we know now, would we have boycotted...Big man ,Joe Kennedy made lots of money,the famous Kennedy fortune with the Germans, as I am sure many others did...Much like Coke,Niki,Nfl,Nba,etc..etc..In 2022 A.D. China...
-----------Now me personally, it comes down to the safety of the athletes...Not so much political...What happened in 1972 was horrible...As in 1936 Olympics, I hope some Jesse Owens sticks it to XI this year.. Just like the 1980 U.S. Hocky team stuck it to those Commie Pinkos...I am sure The Summer Team would have done the same...But this year is different, Who knows, China exposed the world to a global pandemic...Can we be sure they won't expose our athletes to something???...I am for a Boycotting the 2022 Winter Olympics...Yes, China sucks,their government can't be trusted...I would like to stick it in their face, on the field of competition.....But for the athletes sake and safety...I say screw China...Have it next year somewhere else...Or maybe take another 1503 year break....I think it's time......

USA. USA. ... Although I watch CBC out of Windsor... American media sucks...Outside of stories, they're o.k., but I don't want to hear ,this athlete slept with a teddy bear for an hour...When I could be watching some kind of event...I mean Canada has some topics about athletes, but it's wall to wall coverage on events...On top of the 1996 Oympics in Atlanta,yes,yes,the bombing....So in the woman's marathon...---------This pissed me off And I Am An American...The American media...waited to interview the Winner of the race..A Woman from Ethiopia I think, could be Kenya, It's been awhile...But The American media,I.E. NBC and friends...Waited to Interview the American Woman runner ,who I think finished 12th or 17th....Before going over and talking to the Woman who finished 1st...That is another reason why the American media sucks...I probably won't watch any of this year's Olympics, but if I do, I'll be watching The CBC coverage...
