The Oklahoma Legislature enacted a bill to allow prohibited "tribal regalia such as traditional garments, jewelry, or other items of cultural significance at graduation ceremonies" at public schools, though would still prohibit the display of tomahawks.

The chiefs of the Five Civilized Tribes supported the bill as did all 150 members of the Republican-controlled Oklahoma legislature.

Governor Kevin Stitt, who is an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation, vetoed the legislation.

It should be up to the schools… and if the school allows it for Native Americans then ANYONE should also be allowed to wear any culturally specific ornaments they prefer.

If I were president of a Private School the answer would be No.

jim is correct. The Europeans already completed their genocide of the native Americans, there is no reason to permit anything other than European dress at American schools.
