--------- 2) A crazy liberal in charge of the water , refused to release it, because he didn't want to cause environmental damage...Oh!my GOD ...I can see fresh water, it is an island, there is no way to pump ocean water to put out a fire, What we don't have that technology yet???
--------- 3) The idiot in charge of their emergency broadcasting system, refused to set off the warning sirens...WOW ...He gave a reason, a stupid one...Just Set off the alarm, let the people chose for themselves, at least give them a heads up... ...May GOD watch over them in their time of need...

Windmills did not freeze in Texas - it was said the gas pipelines froze because that was where the big power losses came from but new lawsuits point out the gas pipelines didn't freeze, the gas plants shut down their deliveries to make more money.

People died in the cold so billionaires could make more money.

tbf that appears to be any fire regardless of cause. The red splotches in places like Brazil and Indonesia are entirely deliberate.

Anyone else surprised there was no mention of the "Space laser" in the OP.

Some of these fires were man made by idiots. I think last year Cali had a bad one because some smoke bomb for a kid reveal went wrong? A couple years before that, had a bad one on the gorge where i live because some kids did it for the laughs.

Its undeniably getting hotter and drier though.

Edit - To put this into perspective, i live on the west coast. 9 months out of the year it's pretty much just rain and gray. These past couple of years, it's been more like 6 months now, and last year we broke a temp record of 117.
I cannot overstate how fucking brutal that heat is. Its middle east weather. And we're a state known for its trees, not a god damn desert.

If it was 117 degrees wouldn't everyone boil to death?

But it's not as bad as it sounds since we have dry heat in the West. I went hiking last year at 105* and it was not identifiably hotter than normal. I have a theory the human body can't really tell the difference between ~95 and anything higher. Granted, it was a short hike and I measured myself but I'd rather do that than stay indoors at 49.**

I could tell the difference between 105 and 117. Much like i could tell 117 vs 130/140. And again, pretty much a forested area, that's dry vs a desert. Doesn't take a rocket scientist at this point to say that we're approaching fucked levels.

The USA uses degrees Fahrenheit; water boils at 212 F; so 117 is F, not C (degrees Celsius), SO, NO, water does not boil at 117 F (under normal atmospheric pressure situation).

Water does boil at 100 degrees Celsius, again under normal atmospheric pressure.
