Now we have Presidential candidates who can't say the word slavery for the cause of the Civil War....

How fucked up is the Republican Party?

Oh yeah, but an issue that was already dealt with* 158 years ago is what the Dems want/need to make a manipulative fuss about.

*Except for the wretches who can't get anywhere without playing the race card.

Yes, we've already established that you are proficient at cut & pasting slanted propaganda delivered through vetted channels from HQ.

Having already been indoctrinated as to what the politically correct answers are, you now go out to 'inform' others, like a virus.

What shall we call it? COVID-24?

The question was what? Simple enough to answer.

The answer was slavery!

Correct answer would have been: "It was about the Democrats' insistence on perpetuating slavery in the face of Republican-led Abolitionism."

That Nikki the warmonger can't say that proves she's not presidential material. That's why I will vote Stein or West if she's the GOP nominee. Nikki the Neocon is a terrible person!

Well you have an agenda, don't you? Actually, slavery was just part of the larger encompassing question of State Rights, most importantly the Right of Secession.
Obviously so, for if the United States had not objected* to the Confederacy leaving the Union, there would have been no Civil War.

Back then people didn't have the language to fully express what was really happening. Now of course, we realize that the American Civil War was just an earlier example of the 'Brexit Phenomenon'. An example which was unfortunately handled very poorly by the U.S.
Could you imagine the outcry today if that conglomerate of Continental European countries, commonly known as the E.U., had tried to use force (WAR!) against Great Britain in order to keep it in the shackles of undesired union?! Talk about slavery!

* And the arch-irony is that the North declared war to prevent the South from leaving, for economic reasons. Though some of them might not of liked slavery, they still loved the money it made. Only later, as the war shifted the power and opinion even further, did total abolition become a political necessity that was finally enacted by the 13th Amendment.

Unable to generate sufficient cognition to reply in a meaningful way, d6 resorts to distraction with (not particularly) cute pictures of his equally ill-behaved offspring.
In the future, d6, we must ask you to:
1. Stay on topic.
and
2. Use birth control.

The three branches of U.S. government must work toegether like a well-oiled machine.
A grevious ethical failing of the judicial branch is visually echoed by a perilous/pitiful lack of coordination and balance in that of the executive.

Besides, saxi posted the first one.
