HERE WE GO BOYS!!!!!

France on Sunday took a step closer to delivering what was once seen as an unthinkable nightmare: a far-right government taking power in Paris for the first time.

Marine Le Pen’s National Rally made big gains in the first round of a snap election that could upend political orthodoxy across Europe and beyond, with implications for markets and global security that will be hard to predict.

I understand the rightists cackling with glee over their victory, but this nonsense about "for the first time" I don't comprehend.

If the 1958 takeover wasn't "far right", it's hard to imagine what would be.

Only if you have the de Gaulle to say so.

If de Gaulle was far right, I guess that explains his repeated attempts to save the UK from the clutches of the EUSSR.

GREAT NEWS!

The Austro-Hungarians are putting the band back together!

The populist right in Austria, Hungary, and Czechia have formed a transnational political alliance called "Patriots for Europe."

Hungarian, Czech and Austrian parties have created the Patriots for Europe grouping, which aims to secure more influence for right-leaning and far-right parties in the new European Parliament.

The center of Europe is starting to reassemble itself; just missing the Slovenes, Croatians, and Slovaks.

This is a week filled with good news on both sides of the Atlantic!
