it might be, if you have less than 20 points and you lose to someone with the same score... but noone is near that now.

a guy a while back stdb I think? was trying to screw the system by losing a ton of games, and then beating a really high ranked player to make his way to the top. It provoked considerable debate at the time. He also holds the record for most points won in a standard (no battle royale) game at 500 points.

The problem was, if one persons score kept getting lower because he kept losing it could get so low that he would eventually easily get the highest score on CC.

Let's just theorize and say this character, after months of work (or lack thereof), managed to get his score down to 1 point.

Without a cap, if he won a game against 5 other plays,even if they were only 1000 points each, he would get 100,000 total points. A score obviously unattainable by playing the game the way it is meant to be played. In fact the lower your score got, the higher it could potentially be.

Then the 100 point cap was added, and that whole system was defeated.

He also held the record for grievances for deadbeating hundreds of games. I think he had over 60 grievances before Lack took them away.

This thread is full of interesting observations on changes to CC's point award system.
