Point Hoarders:AOR2 [11/16]

Postby greenoaks on Thu Apr 21, 2011 1:49 am

Hoard all the points to win the tournament

This tournament will consist of 16+ players, the games will be 1v1 on Age of Realms 2 and the settings are Manual, Sequential, Nuclear, Fog.

Every player starts with 5 points.

Each round you will pm me with the name of who you want to challenge that round. Win games to gain points, lose games and you lose points. If you end the round with 0 points you are eliminated.

The initial challenges are worth 1 point. When 8 players are left they will be worth 4 points. With 4 left they will be worth 10 points and when 2 are left they will be worth 20 points. I reserve the right to escalate them during the tournament if i deem too many rounds have gone by in a point stalemate.

As you may be playing more than 4 games in a round this is a Premium Only Event.

You need to put in a maximum number of times a player can be challenged in a round because otherwise the other players could gang up on a single player in order to eliminate him at once.

I am in

if they try and gang someone that player will gain points for each win. I do agree with a limit of five challenges on any single player though so there are not too many games for one player

ganging up on a player will not eliminate them. losing more games than you win is the only way to be eliminated.

just as in a standard game it is necessary for everyone to target someone who has become too large, so it may be here. this could be especially true with the escalating nature of the points played for. an all or nothing round against the top dog might be everyones only real shot at surviving.

limiting the number of people who can challange someone to 'x' also only has relevance in the initial rounds. once the number of players left drops below that arbitrary figure it would then become possible for everyone to gang up on a single player to eliminate them.
