It just looks to me on the face of it that it will take more than one year.

Not true! If keep losing in this tournament (due to not being good at AA) but keep winning in other games. I as a high ranked player will lose many more points than if it wasn't swiss style!

I also think it will take more than a year. That's why I decided to give a prize to the winner of the first round. If it needs to be shortened it can be done by eliminating some of the later phases. For example, it could end at the 16 players round and the player with most points after that round would be the winner.

Yes, mate - it needs to be shortened, the rulebook now says:
"Each tournament should be designed to end within 1 year. (Added June 16, 2011)".
Can you work on it? Needs to be a realistic probability (no guarantees of course) that it will finish in less than 12 months for us to approve it.

Many, because "losing" in CC terms is not being the first player. But in the tournament, being the second in 4p and 8p games would give you 5 and 10 points, which probably would be enough not only to keep you in the tournament, but to be in the higher part of the table

With other words if I "almost win" a lot in this tourney, it could drag me down to private again. That was all I wanted to know thanks
