This has been abandoned due to lack of interest
:(

This tournament will be based on the Duel game show. There will be a total of 24 participants in this tournament.

Gameplay:

When it starts, one participant will be chosen to select from three randomly chosen opponents in a 1v1 game. The winner of that game gets to select another opponent from three randomly chosen opponents. There will be 20 qualifying duels to try to qualify to be on the leaderboard. That means not everyone will get a chance.

If you lose a duel and are not on the leaderboard, you are eliminated. If you get knocked off the leaderboard, you are eliminated.

For the final four, that will be determined by how it is done in tonight's show.

Leaderboard:

What determines who is on the leaderboard is first by the number of Duels won, and then by the lowest number of rounds won in total.

Example:
Player 1: Two duels won, 25 rounds
Player 2: Two duels won, 30 rounds
Player 3: One duel won, 10 rounds
Player 4: One duel won, 15 rounds

Presses:

Like in the show, there are presses. Each person gets two presses per duel. To press the opponent, you just say "I press" in the in game chat. The opponent must take his/her turn. If someone is pressed and misses their turn, they lose the duel. So that there is no cheating, you can only press within the following conditions:

You can press within 5 minutes of ending your turn.
Your opponent has not started his/her turn for that round.

This might get changed if someone has a better idea.

I'm in, loved the show.

One question though, how long does the person have to take their turn after they are pressed?

You are in.
The press forces the opponent to take their turn, they still get their 24 hours, but if they miss their turn, they lose the duel.

you still get your normal amount of time, the press forces the pressed player to take their turn or lose the game.

I'm really not sure what effect you are looking for the presses to have, you are making it sound like people regularly miss turns as a part of their strategy.

Well, I am unable to change the time limit in the games so I had to adjust how presses work.
Also, some people can only get on at certain times of the day, and it's not fair to shorten the time limit so that time expires before they get a chance to log on. I'm open for suggestions about presses work.
