I HAVE FINALLY BROKEN 2000 POINTS!!! MAKE THAT 2500!
It may not be a big deal to you guys, but it is huge to me. After 2769 games I have finally got a funny diamond next to me. Never ever thought it was going to happen and I was frustratingly stuck on 1999 for most of the day. It will probably take me 5000 games to get the swords!

breaking your own record is a blast...
i remember the 1st time I broke 2000 pounds...
It was a very satisfying accomplishment...
** EDIT: pic removed... I'll try to find one with just the Marlin in it **
actually this was 345 lbs, but it took a loooooong time to pull in...
it's a Pacific Blue Marlin by-the-way... caught on a 50lb test line...
1st one i ever caught was a mere 54 lbs, but it was young and the hook was on the top of it's head so it fought as hard as this one... lol... everybody was certain i had landed a 300 pounder on that day... took almost 2 hours to reel him in... many people don't know how hard it is to keep it from getting loose... just like your CC score...
anyway... congrats to you...

I guess I'll keep my score for a long time yet, the problem is that it won't rise either.

I have removed that pic from the server...
I only intended to show the Marlin... completely spaced on the rest...
It's not often that Robinette makes a mistake,
By now you probably can't remember anything other than the smile and the long hair... Remember, that was a LONG time ago... taken when my 1st daughter was 2 years old, and a little more than a year before my 2nd daughter was born...

Sure it does. This is a discussion forum, and he wants to discuss the pride he gets from his 2000.
Great job! Keep it up!

You're right there - first time I did it I was over the moon and even more so when I nearly broke major but since I dropped all those points, any short stay at Captain has been rather uninspiring

It was definetly an amazing day... anytime you come into a harbor with the marlin flag flying all the other crews come to check it out... but when you get that one size it's a REALLY big deal... we grilled marlin steaks that evening on an outdoor grill overlooking the ocean... but what stinks is you pay all that money to rent the boat, and you have to tip the crew when you get a catch (the best boats average only 1-2 marlin catches per week)... and the crew gets to keep the meat... all we got was enough to grill for that one meal... I'm like saying cut me 3 more steaks, we've got others to feed, I could tell I was pushing it to get away with like 10lbs, and they got the rest... that's just the way it works... but hey, without a good crew you'll likely never catch anything...
