we are where we are.
i think points are a pretty good guide to how consistently good and solid a player is.

there can of course be slight anomalies based upon playing format countering point inflation. Conquerors and their immediate lesser minions have always used what was available to reach the top.

I think I should be around 5000 points.

Yup I've come to that conclusion.

I went through a phase were I thought there was a clique and there is to a certain extent I'm on 1365 which I think is my highest ever points tally.

But I'm playing now with the big boys in a tournament so it will go down quite alot mainly due to the fact that if it's a 3 man tourney and you have the chance to kill a fellow major or a 1st lieutenant you will take out the lieutenant first as they will inflict the heaviest losses.

I think around 1200 is my proper place.

Once I stop playing because of my points it's game over for me.

I will tell you one thing...

your score is certainly a result of skill, but it is greatly dependent on the types of games you play.

yesterday i had some fun in 1v1's and other random games..... it was interesting to say the least...

if you play the wrong games with the wrong players, you will never gain in score... its virtually impossible... fun perhaps, but not profitable.

I very much enjoyed the opportunity to do it...

For anyone that truly wants to gain points, you need to avoid almost all 1v1s, except those that you can find a trick on... almost all speed assasin games, which will more likely have someone kill the wrong person... and most other flat rate and no cards games with many new players, because although they are winnable, the moves are so random, as to be impossible to plan for... essentially these games really do rely on as much luck as anything else, which means there is no way to sustain a win streak over time

Team games with good or regular partners are much safer... and escalating games and bigger games are probably your best bet over time

the risk to payoff in most average 2 to 5 player games is just not worth playing if you truly want to advance on the scoreboard...

they can be an absolute blast, but you will not gain points, and if you do, it will be at a snails pace.... and if you do gain, continuing with a higher score will cost you even more....

I had fun yesterday... i saw things in games, I completely forgot happened in games...

it would be fun to have a point free arena to play these more often

but since im getting about 5 pms per day asking why my score is silly... i guess ill bring it back up.....

I have been fluctuating between 1150 and 1650 for the last month, but I only dip significantly when I run bad (when I run good it's "normal" :))

However, I don't really pay much attention to game selection at times and I'm trying to do a better job of that.

For some reason, I have a ridiculous winning % (52+% atm over 57 games) in 3 person games but not so much in 2 or 4. I have yet to understand why. Maybe I'm just running super hot in 3-ways.

I would estimate around 1500 for my current skill level. Maybe a bit higher, but I'm not sure.

Was a noob early on, dropped me down significantly, and it's hard to gain a lot of points as a free player :/ I'm so getting premium as soon as I can >.>

Well the question is rather a strange one. If i played escalating and freestyle, im pretty sure that my rank would be Major. Trouble is i just hate that game!

So im fairly happy to play the 1 or 2 game per week in tournies and clan challenges and let my score stay around the 1800 mark!!

I've been addicted since about game 3 :P

It's a lot of fun, gives some good practice of thinking on your feet. Plus, I had quite a few friends join with me, makes it even better :)

Slowly increasing my win percentage and rank... Got it up from 10% to 30% for the percentage ^^
