Alliances

Postby Theguyoverthere on Fri Mar 28, 2008 10:09 pm

Are alliances "Fair"? Are they ok in a 4 or more player game, but not in a 3 player game? Do you think that if a leader emerges, shouldn't he deserve to win, rather than be forced out by the other two players simply because they didn't want the game to be won by him? I'm torn on the issue...

eh... well usually I'm the guy that's in the lead... but I do it when I'm not.... it's fair in a 3-8 player game, and even a 2 player game... don't ask me how but it's been done before in 2 players...

All's fair as long as it makes you win, if you agree to an alliance that makes the other person win you're an idiot and deserve to be put on everyone elses ignore lists.

Alliances are fair as long as they are announced in the game chat.
I will tell you though, that some people are against them entirely, and will get angry if you propose one.

I know they're perfectly allowed, I was just asking if it was fair to the leader of a game if the other two ally in order to get the leader out of the game. I I worked very hard to become the leader of a game, I know I wouldn't want to be pushed out of the game because the other two people don't want to be beaten by me. I mean, even after an alliance in the end there is only one winner. Why not let it be the one who worked the hardest for it and deserves it?

All is fair in war and conquering. (as long as it is announced)

So, although you may not like it, it is perfectly acceptable for two players to band together when one takes the frontrunner spot. It is almost expected, and would almost look fishy if they didn't make some kind of agreement between themselves.

alliances rock, unless they are against me, then they suck.

if i am in an alliance it is never to completely eliminate the leader from the game. it is only to bring them back to the pack and allow the rest of us a chance to win.
