Mods greenlight cheating in Doodle Assassin games?

Postby Teutonics on Fri Apr 04, 2008 1:16 pm

You decide.

If two people work together to eliminate each other's targets, is this considered cheating? If so, then what if they only team up against one of their targets once in every 5 games they play together? Should they then be judged by the 20% of the time that they did this or by the 80% of the time that they didn't? What if they had won 29 games by working together? Would you consider this to be cheating?

A cheating allegation was made against them, but they were cleared of any wrongdoing. They are now free to continue teaming up once every 5 games & others will likely begin to do so as well.

Several players have expressed shock & outrage over this ruling. A pm was sent to one of the administrators. But the ruling stands.

in general, there's always going to be exceptions that prove the rule.

at least, that's the pretense i prefer to operate under.

and i know nothing about this particular instance, for the record.
have you ever seen an idealist with grey hairs on his head?
or successful men who keep in touch with unsuccessful friends?
you only think you did
i could have sworn i saw it too
but as it turns out it was just a clever ad for cigarettes.

Its bs when you see people cheat like that...they aren't the only ones.

I don't see how you equate this to Mods greenlighting Doodle cheats. Continue the witch hunt until you get the result you seek. If there is a genuine impropriety in their actions? Tighten up the evidence until these lame point harvesting activities and their practitioners are exposed nekkid to the world.

Posting in a different forum to get attention drawn to another thread is just bad form sir.

If you have an issue with a ruling, you are welcome to contact me and I will look into it. If you read the ruling, I believe king achilles cleared them of being multis and stated that there wasn't enough evidence of them cheating to make a definitive call on blocking them or resetting their points.

You may either contact me directly or continue the discussion in the original thread, but don't spam up the forum on a private vendetta.

Have a good one
