How suspicious is that?

Postby SlayerQC on Tue Apr 08, 2008 7:26 pm

Just wondering, not accusing.

Here's the details:
Double game. 2 teams. Sequential.
A player on the opposite team kills my partner, only 3 seconds after his partner starts his turn.

They seem to play often together.
Am I being paranoid or that sounds like one person holding two accounts?
Im "investigating" a little further to see if there is more signs of possible cheating.

I mean, gee, even if they know each other, it should take them more than 3 seconds to get ready for his turn.

not really.. the few times i played freestyle games, we all pretty much started our times simultaneously to gain a huge advantage, because we were all in real time communication... sounds like a team freestyle game to me... if you don't like it, play standard, sequential, so someone can't use one of the basic team freestyle tactics that is implored in team freestyle games.-0

that makes no sense at all... if it was his partner, how did he start 3 seconds after his partner ended his turn? maybe you can give a game number, because what you are saying makes absolutely no sense to me. none. game number, please. just so you can educate me and show me the light. thank you.-0

i forget a punctuation.

Here it is again:

The guy killed my partner.
Its now his teammate turn.
His teammate started his turn 3 seconds after the kill.
NOT freestyle.
Just wondering, even if they know each other, how could his teammate start his turn within 3 seconds.

Makes more sense now?

ive got a buddy over, will dig the game # later.

simply explained, i know ive done it many times myself, too much free internet time i look at my games and see "hey that guy is taking a turn and im next" so im ready to make another turn almost instantly... also ive been talking to players on AIM/MSN and they would say 'hey taking my turn, ur up next'

It's a team game, so does this even matter? I've often been online, seen the yellow arrow and knowing I'm on deck, been sitting on the game waiting to take my turn. It isn't that peculiar... and 3 secs. is pretty quick for a multi anyways now donchathink?

if the order of the turns went:

killer
you
killer's teammate
your teammate

then the killers teammate can go 3 secs after your ass got whooped because he's next to go, and he's probably talking to his partner rt.

i think thats what you were trying to tell us, and hopefully this is a proper explanation

ahhhh, no need for game number, that makes sense. i play doubles and when i take my turns, i am usually on the phone with jbrettlip talking up what we want to do OR on skype with vace cooper, rocking the CC world with our war machine. countless times we have seen someone taking their turn and alerted one another that the game is afoot and to get on the war machine and get ready to end it. so, i don't think it is that unusual at all. and, if they are partners, perhaps he was playing for his friend on that day, sitting his account. it isn't that unusual in the doubles world. i play about 99% team games, and i would never think that fast play constituted a multi or cheating. so, you are making more sense now, but i still don't think it is cheating. sounds like 2 guys that communicate during turns...-0

Post a ticket, this is something that can be pretty quickly investigated with an IP check, if a multi hunter thinks to do it.

Hey Larry... it's a fucking team game and a teamate can legally take a partner's turn
if they are unavailable... like when someone else is sitting a player's games.
So an IP check doesn't change much.

This just isn't that suspicious, I've taken lots of turns where someone has begun their turn
after mine in the time it takes for me to return to My Games.

This thread is a waste of time. I wish I hadn't started reading it.

Slayer, go to the the General congratulations thread and give yourself a pat on the back for bringing this strange set of events, well worth investigating, to the assembled audience.

Shouldn't this been in "cheating and abuse" forum?

whatever... this is in no way someone cheating or a multi. i take my partners turns on a fairly regular basis due to our work schedules, and the fact that we like our doubles games to flow and not sit stagnate for excessively long turns... anyway, sounds like a good and responsible doubles team to me... i can't wait to play them!-0
